Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a restoration that covers your tooth completely. These are indicated for fractured teeth and teeth with biting sensitivity due to cracked tooth syndrome, also for teeth with root canals. Crowns also can be placed to improve the occlusion and esthetics of your smile.
Older crowns with a “dark line” showing at the gum line can also be replaced with all ceramic crowns. Crowns without metal will never look dark or show that dark line even if you get recession in the future.
- When a tooth’s structure is compromised, a crown rebuilds the tooth to optimal shape and function
- Crowns are usually made of strong ceramic material, porcelain fused to metal or all gold
- A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth
- It uses the surrounding teeth for support
- Bridges are usually made of all ceramic or ceramic with a metal substructure
For your convenience, Dr. Bennett can make your crown in the office while you wait. You do not need to wear a temporary, have all that “goo” in your mouth or come back for a second appointment. Our Cerec machine has CAD/CAM technology that can make your ceramic crown right away. For larger cases, we can also send your porcelain to a local lab where an artist/technician will custom color and shape your crowns and bridges for the highest level of esthetics.
If you need to replace a missing tooth, all ceramic bridges and PFM bridges are custom made to fit you and provide a fixed, comfortable and convenient solution to replacing a missing tooth.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Bennett for over four years now. We both have the highest respect for her and her staff. I have had some very extensive dental work, including an implant and have been more than satisfied. We would both recommend her as a professional and a kind caring person.
I have been a patient of Dr. Bennett’s for over 10 years. When I first met Dr. Bennett, my teeth were struggling. Over subsequent years she has restored my teeth to an earlier conditioning status. Her expertise has only been surpassed by her gentleness and her integrity. I have happily recommended Dr. Bennett to other friends and family because she has always been a wonderful and thoughtful person and professional.
Dr. Bennett has cared for me and my family for several years. She and her staff are part of our health routine. We are seen for what’s needed, on time, in pleasant surroundings, by people who are well trained. Even an appointment for the dreaded filling is friendly, painless, and positive.
Dr. Bennett herself is an artist. She has saved some of my teeth, worked on long ago and failing, with great crowns and perfect color matching.
I would like to say “thank you” to Dr. Bennett and Staff for always being there for me – for my regular check ups and cleanings – for “fixing” my teeth (cavities and crowns) and always being gentle and caring for my needs and comfort. Dr Bennett has been my Dentist from the time that I moved here from Sherwood, Oregon. And, I have been very fortunate to have found her.
One of the hardest things about moving is needing to find a new dentist. We are so fortunate to have found Dr. Bennett five years ago. The office atmosphere is so calm and friendly. Dr. Bennett is so thorough in her exams, suggestions for preventions and craftsmanship that we feel very secure in our dental health.
